Content Marketing Manager

ZeroFox•Baltimore, MD
•$200,000 - $250,000

About The Position

ZeroFox is hiring a hands-on, in-house Content Marketing Manager to own the content engine behind zerofox.com. The role turns one strategic theme each quarter into a pillar guide and supporting content—including blogs, glossary pages, gated assets, and LinkedIn series—to build search and AI-engine authority over time. The manager also helps shape long-form research reports, including the annual Key Forecast Report, and supports campaigns and programs across the marketing team. The manager plans, writes, edits, optimizes, and publishes most content directly, while briefing and editing internal contributors and subject-matter experts across Product Marketing, ZeroFox Intelligence, and ZeroFox Disruption Labs. The role reports to the Director, Content & Digital Experience and works closely with Product Marketing, ZeroFox Intelligence, PR and Social, Marketing Operations, Design, and Web Development. Success is measured by meeting the quarterly output baseline, growing organic search, reclaiming competitive search terms, supporting demand generation and sales, and building AI search visibility.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B content marketing.
  • A portfolio of long-form web content, such as pillar pages, guides, or e-books, written by the candidate.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to match a brand voice and edit SME and analyst drafts while preserving their expertise.
  • Experience helping produce long-form research reports, white papers, or e-books.
  • Hands-on SEO experience, including keyword research, SERP analysis, content briefs, and internal linking strategy, using Semrush or a similar tool.
  • Working knowledge of GEO or a clear point of view on how AI search changes content strategy.
  • Experience publishing in CMS systems.
  • Ability to read performance data, including traffic, rankings, organic entry share, and content-influenced pipeline, and turn it into a plan.
  • Proven ability to run a content calendar, support multichannel campaigns, manage multiple stakeholders, and prioritize against fixed capacity.
  • Experience using AI writing tools responsibly for outlining, drafting, and editing with human review.

Nice To Haves

  • Cybersecurity experience, ideally writing for security or threat intelligence audiences such as CISOs, SOC analysts, or physical security leaders.
  • Familiarity with attack surface management, brand and domain protection, executive protection, or dark web intelligence.
  • Experience writing competitive comparison pages.
  • Experience with Marketo, Asana, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience managing an internal contributor or employee advocacy program.

Responsibilities

  • Choose each quarter’s content theme with Product Marketing based on the product roadmap; research keywords using SEMrush, map them to content types, and schedule work in the Content Calendar.
  • Deliver each quarter 2 pillar guides of 3,000–5,000+ words, 8–10 supporting blogs, 2–4 glossary pages, and 2 gated assets, each tied to one of ZeroFox’s five solution areas.
  • Write 1–2 competitive pieces per month targeting high-intent keywords, ensure claims are credible and defensible, and refresh comparison pages.
  • Write and edit content to perform in search and be cited by AI engines; refresh declining pillar content before creating new content.
  • Manage internal blog contributions by reviewing pitches, assigning target keywords, editing for brand voice, SEO, and GEO, and publishing submissions.
  • Create Intelligence Hub posts from ZeroFox Intelligence reports without altering their copy, and publish Flash Reports within 24 hours.
  • Partner with ZeroFox Intelligence on flagship research reports, including the annual Forecast Report, white papers, and e-books; shape structure and narrative, edit for clarity and brand voice, and repurpose reports into blogs, social posts, and campaign assets.
  • Write and edit content for campaigns, product launches, and demand-generation programs, including landing pages, product and use-case pages, and email copy.
  • Work with Customer Marketing on case studies and Product Marketing on launch messaging.
  • Write two LinkedIn series of at least four posts each and one employee advocacy pack per quarter; write resource-page copy for new gated PDFs.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations on monthly reporting and use performance results to determine what content to produce or refresh next.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage through Cigna.
  • 401(k) with a 3% match, 100% immediately vested, with no cliff.
  • HSA with quarterly company contributions.
  • Generous time off.
