KQED is seeking a Content Analytics Lead to partner with content teams by studying content performance data, developing insights into what works and why, and making data-driven recommendations. Reporting to the Executive Director of Insights & Growth, the role provides reports and briefings on performance across KQED’s platforms, with an emphasis on digital growth within priority content verticals. The position is primarily an analyst and tactical advisor to content teams, using data science and experimentation techniques beyond basic reporting to help the organization learn and improve. The position is temporary through December 31, 2029. KQED prefers a hybrid arrangement with three days per week at its San Francisco headquarters, though remote work may be considered for candidates with an exceptionally strong record of delivering performance insights to publishers. The role works between KQED’s newly renovated headquarters and remotely. KQED describes its aim as fostering a public media organization centered on human dignity, equity, and belonging, and encourages applicants from marginalized communities. Its mission is to provide Northern California citizens with a community-supported alternative to commercial media, inform decision-making, convene dialogue, bring the arts to everyone, engage audiences in sharing their stories, support students and teachers, and offer journeys of exploration.
