About The Position

Mariner Finance is hiring a Consumer Lending Sales Associate to provide customer service and support consumer lending sales at an assigned branch. The role processes loan applications, reviews customer credit and financial information, offers loan solutions and other available products, and helps customers resolve past-due balances. The associate is responsible for meeting individual and branch sales goals, following applicable consumer lending laws, and handling cash and payments. The position requires physical presence at the branch, and schedules may change to meet business needs. Seasonal Saturday work may be required.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a customer service or sales position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs and the ability to learn financial services programs.
• Ability to complete essential duties and functions accurately and on time.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
• Obtain applicable required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
• Perform work-related tasks at the assigned branch location except in a company-determined emergency.

Nice To Haves

• Cash handling, selling, and/or collecting experience.
• Some college coursework.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by proactively solving problems, presenting loan solutions based on customer needs, and presenting available sales products.
• Process credit loan applications and analyze credit and financial information for current and potential customers.
• Contact customers with past-due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
• Meet or exceed individual and branch goals related to sales of company products and services.
• Learn and comply with applicable Federal, State, and Local consumer application laws.
• Maintain a cash drawer, process payments, and deliver daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
• Perform additional functions as needed based on market demand and branch staffing to provide consistent customer service.
