Bureau Veritas•Boston, MA

About The Position

Bureau Veritas is seeking a technically experienced Construction Manager to lead multiple commercial capital improvement projects for an automotive company with retail, service, and office locations across the Eastern United States. Projects may include automotive service center expansions, service bay modifications, equipment installations, interior and exterior renovations, electrical infrastructure upgrades, and EV charging installations. The broader project portfolio spans automotive, retail, restaurant, big-box, convenience store, gas station, distribution center, and EV charging facilities, and includes tenant improvements, renovations, expansions, and ground-up construction. The role manages projects from initial due diligence and site assessment through design, permitting, bidding, construction, commissioning, and closeout. It requires substantial technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil construction, as well as the ability to evaluate existing facilities and infrastructure—not merely cosmetic finishes or fixture installations. The Construction Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders, operations leaders, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, municipal authorities, and local agencies while managing budgets, schedules, risks, documentation, and project reporting. The position involves regional travel, approximately 20–30% (up to 30%), to project sites, with occasional overnight travel. The position is based in the Eastern U.S. with regional travel. Bureau Veritas describes the work as suitable for working from a remote location and requires the employee to provide a cell phone and internet service. No specific supervisory responsibilities are assigned.
