About The Position

Herzog Contracting Corp. is seeking a qualified Construction Contracts Administrator in Havre de Grace, MD. Herzog is demolishing the existing Susquehanna River rail bridge and constructing in its place two new two-track bridge structures including five miles of new approach trackwork and civil works.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience with corporate law.
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Must be highly motivated.
Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

Accredited four (4) year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Negotiates business terms and conditions with suppliers and works with Legal and other internal and external stakeholders on resolution of contract terms, primarily purchase orders.
Engages end users to gather business requirements to build RFPs or contract documents.
Perform closeout of contracts, finalize outstanding contract issues, issue of final modifications, invoices and coordinate completion of contractor performance evaluations
Conduct and maintain continuing review of progress of each contract and provides management with information pertaining to any financial, technical, or commercial difficulties
Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action
Leads cross functional sourcing initiatives including RFPs, bids, or other solicitation methods.
Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
