About The Position

Hixson Architecture, Engineering, Interiors is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to support the construction phase of complex commercial, industrial, food & beverage, and science and technology projects. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison among owners, contractors, and design professionals to help ensure construction quality, adherence to contract documents, and successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys a combination of field observation, problem-solving, client interaction, and coordination with multidisciplinary design teams. You will work alongside architects, engineers, interior designers, and project managers on projects for some of the world's most recognized brands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial building construction
  • Experience conducting field observations and documenting construction activities
  • Strong understanding of building systems, including: Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, owners, and project teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30-40%

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site construction observations and document findings accurately and professionally
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with project documents and contract requirements
  • Serve as a liaison among clients, owners, contractors, and Hixson project teams
  • Assist in resolving construction-related questions, field conditions, and project issues
  • Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers throughout the construction process
  • Review construction activities to help verify alignment with design intent and owner expectations
  • Support project closeout and successful completion of construction-phase services
  • Represent client interests with professionalism, responsiveness, and integrity
