Davenergy Solutions is seeking an onsite, full-time Construction Administrator (CM-CA) at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is crucial for supporting Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) infrastructure upgrades across the medical center. Requirements

  • Communication, language, and software skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • Working knowledge of construction practices and ability to assist in implementing various project plans including Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Schedule, Cost, and Change & Information Management.
  • Familiarity with site operations of a General Contractor and Subcontractors and the process of managing a building construction operation.
  • Working experience monitoring construction activities for Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Experience preparing, analyzing, and identifying incongruities and deficiencies in the Contractor’s work relative to construction documents.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training (to be completed within contract timeframes)
  • VA Cyber Security Awareness Training (to be completed within contract timeframes)
  • VA Privacy Awareness Training (to be completed within contract timeframes)
  • VA IT Training for operation of VA systems (e.g., TRIRIGA), as applicable (to be completed within contract timeframes)

Nice To Haves

  • Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence of work experience or technical knowledge to compensate for the absence of higher education.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of construction-related experience may be substituted and will be reviewed for acceptability.
  • Extensive construction experience and other credentials for consideration. Expertise in the requested discipline must be evidenced by extensive experience and qualifications.
  • Work experience and completed projects identified in the credentials of the individual to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction in all identified task order scope of work required solicitation.
  • Present three projects of the scale and difficulty at which he/she held a similar position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for construction administration and oversight in support of EHRM projects at an active medical facility.
  • Provides administration oversight and evaluation concerning all construction disciplines as they pertain to project work.
  • Assists with project management, project engineering, planning, scheduling, constructability reviews, code compliance, testing, record keeping, quality control, cost control, and general oversight of EHRM construction projects.
  • Conducts site inspections, prepares daily logs, and documents work progress, quality issues, and compliance.
  • Assists with submittal reviews, RFIs, progress meetings, contractor pay application reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Determines documentation needs based on engineering risk assessments that could impact patient care or facility operations.
  • Quickly understand and master the requirements of local, state, and federal jurisdictions and the requirements of each as they relate to the project.
  • Utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • Possess a working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing various project plans including Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Schedule, Cost, and Change & Information Management.
  • Familiar with site operations of a General Contractor and Subcontractors and the process of managing a building construction operation.
  • Monitor construction activities for Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Prepare, analyze, and identify incongruities and deficiencies in the Contractor’s work relative to construction documents.
