About The Position
Custom Concrete Co. is seeking experienced, dependable, and skilled Concrete Finishers to support its growing workload amid rapid growth in the construction market. The role involves finishing concrete to meet specified texture, thickness, density, flatness, or slope requirements while meeting company and client expectations. The position requires working with concrete slabs, curbs, sidewalks, and pavement, operating hand and machine tools, and carrying out physically demanding work in varied weather conditions. Team members are expected to uphold safety and quality standards and maintain clean, hazard-free job sites.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of concrete finishing experience.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Willingness to work in challenging environments.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating ride-on trowel machines.
- Experience with commercial or industrial concrete projects.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete on grade to specified flatness or slope.
- Form and pour slab-on-grade, slab-on-deck, curbs, sidewalks, and pavement.
- Use hand tools to edge, joint, and finish concrete surfaces.
- Operate walk-behind and ride-on machine trowels.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and extended tool use.
- Work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Safely climb in and out of box trucks with tools and materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site by securing tools and eliminating hazards daily.
