Responsibilities

Set and align forms to hold concrete at the desired pitch and depth.
Check concrete forms to ensure they are properly constructed.
Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds, and floats.
Direct concrete casting and supervise laborers spreading concrete with shovels or special tools.
Produce rough concrete surfaces using a broom.
Signal truck drivers to position trucks for pouring and move chutes to direct concrete onto forms.
