About The Position

The Concierge helps ensure that every guest has an exceptional and memorable stay by anticipating guest needs, building strong guest relationships, recognizing special occasions, and providing thoughtful recommendations. The role requires knowledge of resort amenities and a passion for hospitality. The Concierge provides attentive service to VIPs and other guests, welcomes guests as they enter the hotel, escorts them to their rooms, and follows up with courtesy calls and recognition of personal events. The role also involves recommending and arranging reservations for resort dining, entertainment, and services; explaining limitations on amenities and available services; and maintaining extensive knowledge of resort restaurants, gaming departments, and amenities.

Requirements

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Four to five years of experience working in a guest service environment.
High school diploma or GED.
Two years of experience in a hotel or resort setting.
Knowledge of the local area, attractions, and restaurants.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and online navigation.
Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations.

Associate of Science (A.S.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional guest service to VIPs and all other guests, going beyond required duties.
Greet guests as they enter the hotel, escort them personally to their rooms, and follow up with courtesy calls.
Recognize guests’ personal special occasions and ask whether additional service is needed.
Build and maintain the VIP guest list and strong guest relationships.
Maintain extensive knowledge of resort restaurants, gaming departments, and amenities.
Recommend and arrange reservations for internal dining, entertainment, and services.
Explain politely and effectively the limitations of amenities and available services.
