About The Position

The Concierge is the lead at the Michigan Athletic Club (MAC) Concierge Desk and primarily signs members and guests up for programming offered by the MAC. The role provides customer service to members and guests, maintains knowledge of current club programs, and uses Club Automation software. The Concierge also handles point-of-sale transactions and supports training for caregivers on POS and Concierge Desk duties. Additional duties may be assigned, and leadership may alter or modify the position’s duties.

Requirements

• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• At least one year of experience as a concierge caregiver or desk attendant.
• High school diploma, GED, or successful completion of 12 grades combined with continued enrollment in an early college program.
• Ability to use a keyboard as required to perform the essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests.
• Take ownership and responsibility for duties.
• Maintain knowledge of current club programs.
• Schedule and reserve courts.
• Register members and guests for programs.
• Solve problems.
• Process point-of-sale transactions and handle daily POS duties.
• Answer phones, page, and place calls to voicemail.
• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Club Automation software at the MAC.
• Assist with POS and Concierge Desk training for caregivers.
