About The Position
The Concierge Attendant will be responsible for greeting and acknowledging all arriving and departing guests, escorting guests to tables and assisting in seating. This role requires maintaining complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the M Club (Concierge) Lounge and the Restaurant outlet, as well as adhering to state liquor regulations. The attendant will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining the cleanliness of the M Club (Concierge) Lounge, ensuring all standards are met, and assisting guests with concierge needs such as directions and local recommendations. Additionally, the role involves facilitating guest use of the M Club’s technology offerings and concierge amenities, and assisting in preparing the M Club for various food service offerings throughout the day.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum one year customer service experience.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hotel experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
Responsibilities
- Courteously greet and welcome guests to the M Club Lounge, ensuring hotel's standards of service.
- Engage with the customers and create personal connections by assisting with concierge needs such as directions, local recommendations, etc.
- Facilitate guest use of the M Club’s technology offerings and concierge amenities.
- Assist in preparing the M Club for breakfast buffet service, all day snack and evening offerings appropriate for the scheduled shift.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the room at all times.
- Monitor and anticipate the guests' needs and all phases of the operation; including assisting guests with the coffee machine or taking alcoholic drink orders.
- Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
- Greet and acknowledge all arriving and departing guests.
- Escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the M Club (Concierge) Lounge and the Restaurant outlet.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
- Set up M Club (Concierge) Lounge with necessary supplies; maintain cleanliness at all times.
- Report shortages to Supervisor or Kitchen for replenishment.
- Inspect the M Club (Concierge) Lounge environment and entrance area, ensuring that all standards are met; rectify any deficiencies; maintain cleanliness at all times.
- Inspect tables and buffet, ensuring that all set ups meet the department standards.
- Check throughout meal period.
