About The Position

The Concessions Attendant supports theatre operations under the direction of the theatre management team, providing a high level of guest satisfaction and maintaining theatre cleanliness. The role requires friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional service. It reports to a member of the theatre management team or the General Manager, depending on the location. The attendant greets guests, completes transactions and loyalty transactions, sells and prepares food and beverages, and works toward sales expectations through loyalty sign-ups, suggestive selling, upselling, and sampling. The role also includes filling online concession orders, stocking and maintaining concession areas, cleaning and sanitizing guest and associate areas, following food-safety and cleaning-chemical procedures, and communicating social-distancing guidelines. Attendants answer guest questions and address concerns, uphold company standards and programs, and assist with other duties as directed by management. This is a part-time position at Marcus Majestic of Brookfield, with variable shifts and a starting pay of $10.00 per hour. Work takes place in a theatre environment with usually moderate-to-high noise and occasional loud conditions. A face mask is required during scheduled working hours. The schedule must accommodate late evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, identify their requests, complete transactions and loyalty transactions, and thank them.
Sell food and beverage items at the concession stand.
Meet sales expectations through loyalty card sign-ups, suggestive selling, upselling, and sampling.
Operate point-of-sale terminals and make accurate change.
Prepare food and beverage orders in accordance with company and local food-safety policies.
Fill online concession orders and prepare them for pickup.
Perform daily concession maintenance, including stocking.
Follow instructions for the safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials.
Clean and sanitize concession and beverage areas for guests and associates.
Monitor and communicate social-distancing guidelines.
Provide friendly, helpful, and fast guest service; answer guest questions and resolve concerns.
Uphold company standards and execute company-wide programs.
Assist with other functions as instructed by the General Manager or a member of the management team.
