About The Position

As our Computer Support Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day tech operations to support our HVAC business. This position is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, networks, databases, and IT security systems. You’ll collaborate with third-party vendors and field/office staff to protect company interests and provide timely technical support. This role aims to minimize technical disruptions, protect company assets, and support successful daily operations. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT support role or a related technical specialist role OR degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, database management, and IT security standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software errors, manage assets, and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively explain technical errors, discuss new workflows, and teach correct processes to team members.
  • Self-motivated and dedicated to completing projects in a timely manner; comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Apple and Microsoft computer programs such as Excel and Word

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT support role or a related technical specialist role
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with industry applications like ServiceTitan, Intacct, and Procore

Responsibilities

  • Resolve day-to-day tech errors and provide troubleshooting support directly to all system users.
  • Manage and maintain the organization’s technology systems
  • Assist with new hire onboarding by setting up user accounts and configuring required devices like cell phones, tablets, and computers.
  • Oversee networks, databases, and IT security protocols to protect company data.
  • Create, update, and manage strict procedures for tracking company equipment and user assignments.
  • Collaborate with third-party companies and vendors to protect business interests and meet technology needs.
