About The Position

Information Management Group (IMG) is seeking a highly motivated Computer User Support Specialist to join our team in Schenectady, NY. This on-site position requires a professional who brings strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a first-line role in help desk troubleshooting, response, and remediation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate Degree with two years’ experience OR High School Degree and four years’ experience
CompTIA A+ or similar cert with customer approval
DoD Top Secret or DOE Q
Candidates will be required to take a drug test prior to working onsite and agree to random drug testing throughout your tenure

Nice To Haves

Excellent customer support experience and soft skills to ensure end-user satisfaction
Strong knowledge of the English language and experience performing technical troubleshooting
Ability to lead small teams or projects through cross functional coordination/collaboration with other departments
Assist key stakeholders in overall project execution and find solutions through creative problem solving
Ability to demonstrate proven success with adaptability – willingness to evolve with technology while ensuring data accuracy standards

Responsibilities

Providing a first-line role in help desk troubleshooting, response, and remediation.
Possession of technical skills to work with end users.
Ability to resolve issues of moderate complexity.
Trouble ticket remediation and responding to physical troubleshooting of hardware components and equipment.
Responsible for accomplishing routine IT tasks at the discretion of your team lead.
Providing customer support and ensuring customer satisfaction of resolution of any IT issues in a timely manner and proper documentation for compliance and continuity.
