•$40,000 - $45,000•Onsite

About The Position

PowerPro Computers is seeking a dependable, knowledgeable, customer-focused Computer Repair Technician for its in-shop service location in Mendham, New Jersey. The position focuses on hands-on diagnosis, repair, upgrades, and maintenance of Windows PCs, Apple Mac computers, and everyday technology for residential customers and small businesses. It is primarily an in-shop computer repair and customer service position, rather than a traditional corporate IT help desk or network engineering role. The technician will diagnose and repair computers, replace and upgrade components, install and configure operating systems and software, address malware and data-transfer needs, and use diagnostic tools to verify repairs. The role also supports printers, home and small-business connectivity, email, and basic iPhone and iPad configuration. Customer-facing duties include documenting reported problems, explaining findings and costs, preparing estimates and obtaining authorization, communicating repair progress, managing service tickets, and performing final quality checks. The position is full-time and onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with compensation of $40,000–$45,000. A practical technical assessment may be included in the hiring process. Additional business technology support may be available depending on experience and business needs, but hands-on repair and daily shop operations remain the primary responsibility.
