About The Position

The Complex Claim Director handles all aspects of complex Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims brought against privately held and not-for-profit insureds, from inception through conclusion. The role may also provide opportunities to handle Directors & Officers Liability claims. Responsibilities include making coverage determinations, investigating losses, evaluating and projecting potential exposures, preparing case presentations, setting judgmental reserves, and developing and implementing resolution strategies. The position works with defense counsel and collaborates with underwriting to deliver differentiated value and service to customers and distribution partners. AIG asks team members to work primarily in the office to support in-person collaboration.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience handling complex insurance claims, litigation, or related work.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of litigation and arbitration processes.

Nice To Haves

• Juris Doctor degree.
