About The Position

Jefferson Apartment Group is a full-service real estate firm specializing in multifamily and mixed-use real estate investments through acquisition, development, construction, and property management. The company is seeking a Community Manager for J Linea Apartments, a boutique luxury community in Washington, DC’s Shaw neighborhood. J Linea features 132 apartments across seven floors plus a penthouse level, along with 16,000 square feet of street-level retail. The Community Manager supervises all phases of on-site operations, including hiring, managing job performance, and training on-site staff. This is an in-office position in a business-office setting. The salary range is $83,000–$90,000, with individual and team performance-based bonus potential.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of multifamily property management experience in a managerial capacity.

Responsibilities

Motivate staff.
Manage the hiring and, when necessary, termination of on-site staff.
Determine transitions and promotions for on-site staff.
Handle emergency situations.
Develop and implement strategies and programs designed to ensure long-term residency.
Oversee revenue collection and handle delinquent accounts.
Perform regular inspections of the apartment community.
Handle evictions and landlord liens.
Adhere to and implement company policies.
Audit lease files.
Implement scheduled rent increases.
Oversee invoice payments.
Assist in budget preparation.
Monitor the parking lot for unauthorized vehicles.
