About The Position

Westwood Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Community Life - Activities Assistant (Therapeutic Recreational Assistant) to help enrich residents’ lives and enhance the facility culture. The role supports resident activities, assessments, and activity profiles; organizes and encourages participation in recreational, social, and therapeutic programming; and assists the Community Life Director with expanding services and implementing new ideas. The position is part-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid and current unencumbered state driver's license.
• Compassionate, dedicated, and committed to delivering high-quality service.

• Previous experience providing recreational services within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident activities, assessments, and development of activity profiles.
• Schedule and organize recreational activities, including movie screenings, games, parties, and crafts.
• Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
• Support the Community Life Director in expanding services and implementing new, innovative ideas.
• Contribute to improving systems and processes that enhance resident experiences.
