About The Position

The Ridge Pinehurst is seeking a full-time Community Life Associate (Activity Assistant) to lead activities for assisted living and memory care residents. The role is suited to a creative, positive, energetic, team-oriented, flexible, and empathic person who is passionate about enriching seniors’ lives. The scheduled hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The associate plans and carries out activities and events, provides recreational therapy through group and individual activities, and works with residents, team members, volunteers, and vendors. The position uses the online LifeLoop platform to communicate and coordinate. Requirements

• Dedication and passion for serving seniors, with excellent customer service skills.
• Positive, engaging attitude, flexibility to perform various resident-service duties, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong time-management and customer-service skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with seniors with dementia is preferred.
• Community life or senior living experience is preferred.
• High school graduation or a GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and carry out activities and events for residents.
• Provide recreational therapy through group and one-on-one activities.
• Work with and schedule volunteers and vendors.
• Promote activities and events within the community and encourage participation.
• Communicate and work with residents and team members using the online LifeLoop platform.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
