About The Position

The Life Enrichment Activities Assistant implements assigned programs and events that meet residents’ needs, interests, and capabilities. The assistant supports program planning, resident engagement, and community outings, and helps create resident histories and profiles with resident and family involvement. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position scheduled every Saturday. The role reports to the Life Enrichment Director.

Requirements

Related experience leading programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, and Excel), and ability to learn new applications.
Ability to drive the community vehicle for resident outings.
Ability to perform duties that often involve standing, walking, sitting, fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds and use proper body mechanics.

High school diploma or higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and implementing programs that meet residents’ needs and interests.
Help create resident histories and profiles with resident and family involvement.
Engage residents in daily programs and handle program setup and cleanup.
Assist with creating a monthly social program calendar and distribute it to community personnel and residents.
Keep residents engaged between planned programs.
Drive the community vehicle for resident outings.
Attend scheduled in-service training.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
