About The Position

The Ridge Pinehurst is seeking a full-time Community Life Associate (Activity Assistant) to lead activities for assisted living and memory care residents. The role involves creating and delivering engaging recreational experiences that support residents’ well-being and enrich their daily lives. The ideal candidate is creative, positive, energetic, team-oriented, flexible, and empathetic, with a passion for serving seniors.

The position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Ridge Senior Living describes itself as a family of luxury senior living communities in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lakewood, Colorado, with a mission to create a distinctive living experience for seniors. Team members are expected to help meet residents’ individual needs and contribute to the daily success of the community.

Requirements

• Passion and dedication to serving seniors, with excellent customer service skills.
• Positive and engaging attitude, flexibility to perform various duties in service to residents, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong time-management and customer-service skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with seniors with dementia is preferred.
• Community life or senior living experience is preferred.
• High school graduation or a general equivalency diploma (GED) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and carry out activities and events for residents.
• Provide recreational therapy through group and one-on-one activities.
• Work with and schedule volunteers and vendors.
• Promote activities and events across the community and encourage resident participation.
• Communicate and work with residents and team members using the online LifeLoop platform.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
