About The Position

Willow Springs Center (UHS) is seeking a Community Liaison to be based in the Southern California Region, covering LA, Orange, and San Diego Counties, as well as outer lying counties including Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Kern, San Bernadino, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial Counties. This role requires daily travel by car and approximately 25% overnight travel within the assigned territory. The Community Liaison will act as a bridge between the facility and referral sources, marketing Willow Springs Center and educating the community about its services for children with psychiatric disorders. This position is crucial for ensuring referral sources are aware of the available treatment opportunities for patients. The work at Willow Springs Center is described as dynamic, satisfying, and meaningful, focused on impacting the lives of youth ages 6 to 17 years.

Requirements

  • Must be based out of California.
  • Must be willing and able to travel by car daily within the assigned territory.
  • Must be willing and able to travel OVERNIGHT 25% within the assigned territory.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field.
  • A minimum three (3) years of experience in a health care business development management position preferred, with extensive business development experience resulting in measurable results, preferred direct experience developing managed care with knowledge in the areas of capitation and at-risk areas.
  • Detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency issues.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manages time effectively in order to meet obligations for meetings, reports and information, and public communication.
  • Develops and implements community workshops and seminars, held at the facility or in the community.
  • Develops and maintain new accounts and markets. Maintains customer support of 160 referral source contacts per month.
  • Analyzes changes within the changing health care environment and health care market and makes recommendations to improve services based on analysis.
  • Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field; represents Willow Springs Center on various committees.
  • Maintains primary contact with all customers assigned accounts through On-Site visits on an ongoing basis.
