About The Position

This is an adjunct faculty pool for teaching in the Community Education department. The pool will remain open until June 2027 unless positions are no longer needed. Applications will be reviewed and candidates will be contacted and interviewed as positions become available. Instructor is required to create a course syllabus, instruct students in the subject matter in accordance with that syllabus, maintain attendance records, assess student progress and evaluate course work. Instructor will maintain college standards in all aspects of professionalism, record keeping and instruction within the team atmosphere of the Continuing Education Department of Rogue Community College.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the requested course field.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • If required to drive on behalf of the college, must possess a valid Oregon Driver License and provide proof of an acceptable driving record.
  • Final candidate will be required to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instructs students in assigned subject matter in a classroom, lab, learning center, or other setting as appropriate.
  • Prepares, distributes, and utilizes instructional support materials, including course syllabi, supplementary materials, instructional media, and other devices as appropriate.
  • Develops, communicates, and utilizes a student assessment process and instruments which are related to the stated objectives of the course.
  • Maintain attendance records.
  • Participates in curriculum planning and development as needed.
  • Represents the Continuing Education Department and the college to the community, business, public agencies, and other organizations in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for departmental equipment and provides for the security of facilities and instructional materials as appropriate to the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
