Job Summary As part of the Community Development Unit (CDU), The Project Assistant will help our CDU Strategy Leads in implementing project activities focused on facilitating leadership training for community leaders, and professional development trainings for staff and volunteers.

Requirements

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period.
  • be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
  • 2+ years experience in a role facilitating project planning and implementation.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Adaptability & Stress Management.
  • Digital & Computer Proficiency (CRMs, MS 365/Office, other cloud tools)
  • Some experience in facilitation & coaching.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.
  • Cross-Cultural Communication & Interpersonal Skills.

  • Accuracy, Documentation & Attention to Detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting CDU Strategy Leads in the creation of outreach material by using digital media platforms incorporating artificial intelligence and conducting outreach and assessment with the training target participants (community leaders, staff and volunteers).
  • Supporting CDU Strategy Leads in the development and implementation of training strategies for each project target audience.
  • Provide logistic support to ensure training sessions are delivered effectively for the target audiences.
  • Coordinate planning and delivery of onsite, offsite, and/or virtual trainings.
  • Support planning and hosting of stakeholder interactions.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as writing summaries/reports, collecting and tracking participants information, ongoing communications with participants and stakeholders, tracking and maintaining training records, and conducting evaluations, as needed.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.
