About The Position

InReach is seeking a Community Coach to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of community activities. Support may take place in a customer's home, community, or work site in Charlotte and surrounding areas, depending on customer needs. The role provides one-on-one support, including job coaching, assistance with activities and socialization, and transportation. The position pays $17.00 per hour and operates Monday through Friday, with hours that may range from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; weekends may be needed.

Requirements

• One year of Supported Employment or job coach experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and special populations.
• Vocational experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to transport customers using your vehicle.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support at work and during activities in the Charlotte area.
• Assist customers on the job through job coaching.
• Document work and activities.
• Help customers explore new things, pursue their interests, and socialize.
• Oversee customer participation in activities as described in the goal plan.
• Maintain the health and safety of everyone.
• Provide reliable transportation.
• Maintain required credentials and training.
• Assure confidentiality.
