About The Position

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions is hiring a Community Based/Day Program Therapist to provide individualized mental health care to people with developmental disabilities and other populations served by the organization. The therapist works with a multidisciplinary team that includes mental health counselors, social workers, certified nurse practitioners, case managers, and psychiatrists. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an annual salary of $52,000–$60,000. The role requires travel throughout an assigned service area and may involve working in clients’ homes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field with one year of therapy experience, or a Master’s degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling.
• A Social Work or Professional Counseling license or equivalent: LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, or LMFT.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is a plus.
• Experience in therapy and counseling is preferred.
• Experience within a home setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
• Provide patient visits as scheduled.
• Keep each client’s treatment plan up to date.
• Complete comprehensive and succinct progress notes.
• Communicate and follow up as needed regarding client status.
• Collaborate with those providing case management and/or psychiatric services.
