About The Position

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions is hiring a Community Based/Day Program Therapist to provide individualized care to clients with developmental disabilities and other behavioral health needs. The therapist works as part of a team that may include mental health counselors, social workers, certified nurse practitioners, case managers, and psychiatrists. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with travel throughout an assigned service area.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field and one year of therapy experience, or a master’s degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling.
A Social Work or Professional Counseling license or equivalent: LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, or LMFT.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Nice To Haves

Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is a plus.
Experience in therapy and counseling is preferred.
Experience within a home setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
Provide patient visits as scheduled.
Keep treatment plans up to date for each client.
Complete comprehensive and succinct progress notes.
Communicate and follow up as needed regarding clients’ status.
Collaborate with professionals providing case management and/or psychiatric services.
