About The Position

Liberty Resources is seeking a full-time Community Based Therapist for its Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Program in Ulster County. The therapist works with families of teens ages 12–17 to address challenges and create positive outcomes. The MST program provides comprehensive training and ongoing supervision in an evidence-based model, with a supportive team and a manageable caseload of 4–6 families. Treatment typically lasts 3–5 months and is guided by client needs rather than Medicaid restrictions. The role uses a home-based, family-centered approach, with sessions held in families’ homes and a hybrid schedule that allows remote work when not in meetings or client sessions. The schedule is non-traditional, and evening or weekend sessions may be needed. The team shares responsibility for providing clients with 24/7 phone support. The therapist applies a range of clinical skills, including cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems theory, and collaborates with schools, probation officers, and other community members. The program aims to improve school attendance and performance, strengthen family relationships, foster positive social connections, and reduce high-risk behaviors. Liberty Resources describes its services as integrated and community-based and emphasizes staff support, diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care. The position offers clinical supervision to support progress toward licensure; limited permits are welcome.
