About The Position

People Creating Success is hiring a Community Based Support Professional, also described as a F.A.D.E. Associate, to support adults with developmental disabilities in Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Beverly Hills, and surrounding areas. The role is part of F.A.D.E. (Facilitating Alternative Day Environments) and C.I.T.P. (Community Integration Training Program), community-based day services that help participants take part in community life and increase their accessibility to the workforce.

The position is part-time and offers weekday shifts at $20.25 per hour, mileage reimbursement, and a $10 monthly cell phone stipend. Health benefits and paid time off are available if an employee transitions to full-time employment. Other listed offerings include pet insurance discounts, a Cal-Savers retirement plan, and a $500 sign-on bonus paid in two installments.

Requirements

• Compassionate, people-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Responsible and able to assist with goal progress tracking.
• CPR/First Aid certification; training will be provided if the candidate is not certified or needs recertification.

Responsibilities

• Support participants in volunteering, attending events, and exploring their community.
• Encourage and model independent living skills.
• Help participants meet their goals through person-centered planning.
• Encourage participants to be physically active and take part in meaningful, enjoyable activities.
• Provide a dependable, positive presence in participants’ day-to-day lives.
• Support individuals experiencing heightened emotional responses, complex behaviors, or sensory overload using proactive redirection and calming techniques.
• Recognize early signs of stress or escalation and guide individuals through personalized self-regulation strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed shift logs and progress notes.
• Assist with tracking progress toward goals.
