About The Position

The Communications Insights Consultant supports Deloitte’s Customer team and Government & Public Services practice by applying communications analytics and research to inform technical transformation projects. The role defines, tracks, and reports communications metrics; develops dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports; monitors media, stakeholder, and communications feedback; and translates analysis into concise management insights and recommended actions. The consultant documents measurement frameworks and repeatable processes, supports communications strategy and planning, and collaborates with strategists, content producers, and program stakeholders to apply insights and improve performance.

This is a Project talent role focused on delivering services to clients, with employment tied to the individual’s project role and no additional expectations related to business development or promotion. Project professionals are eligible for a benefits package competitive for project delivery-focused professionals. The position is based in Rosslyn, Virginia, and requires the ability to travel 0–25% on average, depending on work and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in communications analytics, research, program evaluation, business analysis, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills, including summarizing complex findings clearly, working effectively with incomplete information, and developing evidence-based recommendations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain high-risk public trust security clearance.
• Ability to travel 0–25% on average, based on the work and clients served.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in metrics definition, data analysis, dashboard development, and performance reporting.
• At least 1 year of experience distinguishing meaningful signals from noise across media, stakeholder, and program data.
• At least 1 year of experience providing production and coordination support for press, digital, web, stakeholder, media-monitoring, sentiment-analysis, content-calendar, and rapid-response requirements.
• At least 1 year of experience analyzing communications feedback mechanisms.
• At least 1 year of experience in homeland security, law enforcement, justice-sector, or broader government operating environments.
