About The Position

Highway Intelligent Traffic Solutions LLC constructs, installs, integrates, and maintains transportation infrastructure and intelligent traffic technologies, including guidance signs, traffic signals, dynamic message systems, fiber, radar, cameras, and integration systems. The Common Laborer supports roadway infrastructure operations through maintenance, repairs, construction work, and equipment installation and testing. The role requires outdoor work in all weather conditions, work at heights over 20 feet, and the ability to perform heavy physical work and lift or move up to 50 pounds. Compensation is negotiable based on education and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license; must maintain a valid medical card if holding a CDL driver's license and be insurable under Company policies.
Provide transportation to and from work, or be responsible for a company-assigned vehicle if provided; typically report to work at the job site.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairs.
Ability to read plans and schematic diagrams proficiently.
Ability to perform heavy physical work, often in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
Ability to work in all weather conditions and at heights over 20 feet.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Wear safety-toed work boots, safety vest, work gloves, and hard hat as required.

Responsibilities

Perform on-call duties and respond to emergency trouble calls.
Perform preventative and emergency maintenance and minor signal repairs.
Assist with construction projects and locates.
Install, set up, and test cabinets.
Complete and submit required personal paperwork.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Communicate with customers and other contractors.
Follow company safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment at job sites and in the yard during lifting operations.
Work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and the public, and maintain effective working relationships.
