About The Position

The Operations Laborer safely and efficiently performs general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Work may include yard cleanup, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, office maintenance, and other related duties. The position also includes general site upkeep, equipment and vehicle operation, temporary wind-fence installation, and traffic direction as needed. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities.
• Clean up work areas.
• Fuel vehicles and equipment.
• Clean tracks on track-type and related equipment.
• Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pickup.
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment.
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work.
• Install temporary wind fences as required.
• Direct traffic at the site as necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
