About The Position

Nordstrom is hiring a seasonal Commission Sales employee for Men's Apparel at Bellevue Square. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, meeting sales goals, building customer relationships, and creating a shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty. Sales employees bring fashion expertise, energy, and genuine care to customer interactions. In Men's Apparel, the employee helps customers build complete wardrobes suited to their lifestyles, careers, and special occasions. This includes styling across sportswear, suiting, and finishing pieces such as belts, socks, underwear, shoes, and accessories. The position uses Nordstrom's 5-Point Selling Standard and relationship-building practices, including the 2-2-2 follow-up method, Nordy Club enrollment, and the Personal Book customer-tracking tool. Hours vary by week according to business needs. The schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holiday or event shifts, and may occasionally require flexibility to support other departments. The position requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and regular lifting of items up to 10 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver Nordstrom's 5-Point Selling Standard: Say Hello, Small Talk, Be Helpful & Sell, Fashion Authority, and Follow-up.
Build and grow a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach, and digital tools.
Offer honest, confident style and fit feedback to build customer trust and loyalty.
Set and achieve personal sales goals and remain accountable for results.
Keep the department customer-ready through stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, merchandise recovery, and participation in the bi-annual inventory count.
Stay current on product knowledge and trends to serve as a trusted style resource.
Communicate openly, contribute to a positive team environment, and help keep the department productive.
Build lasting customer relationships using the 2-2-2 Method, Nordy Club enrollment, and the Personal Book.
Work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods, and occasionally support other departments.
