About The Position

Nordstrom is hiring a Commission Sales employee for Kids' Apparel & Shoes at Bellevue Square. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, building customer relationships, meeting sales goals, and creating a welcoming shopping experience for parents, children, and gift-shoppers. The employee will provide sizing and fit guidance, help expecting and new parents with baby essentials, and use follow-up and digital tools to build customer loyalty and repeat business. The position includes maintaining a customer-ready department and supporting the team. Hours vary according to business needs and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, event shifts, and occasional support for other departments. Pay is listed as $21.90 per hour; apparel, shoes, and accessories commission typically ranges from 3% to 14.5%. The position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Responsibilities

Deliver Nordstrom's 5-Point Selling Standard: Say Hello, Small Talk, Be Helpful & Sell, Fashion Authority, and Follow-up.
Build and grow a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach, and digital tools.
Offer honest, confident style and fit feedback to earn customer trust and loyalty.
Set and achieve personal sales goals and remain accountable for results.
Keep the department customer-ready through stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, merchandise recovery, and participation in bi-annual inventory counts.
Stay current on product knowledge and trends and serve as a trusted style resource.
Communicate openly, contribute to a positive team environment, and help keep the department productive.
Build lasting customer relationships through the 2-2-2 follow-up method, Nordy Club enrollment, and the Personal Book customer-tracking tool.
Help parents, children, and gift-shoppers with shopping needs, including sizing guidance and baby essentials.
Work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, peak periods, and occasional support for other departments.
