Commercial Sales Representative

American Pest•Alexandria, VA

About The Position

American Pest is hiring a Commercial Sales Representative for a hunter-style business development role focused on creating new commercial sales opportunities, rather than managing inbound leads or renewing existing accounts. The representative will develop a self-generated pipeline and build a book of business while benefiting from the support of an established company serving the Mid-Atlantic. On-track earnings are stated as $100,000–$110,000 or more, with a competitive base salary and uncapped commissions. The representative will identify prospective commercial customers, learn about their needs, and recommend tailored pest management solutions. The role manages the sales process from initial outreach through closing, including consultative needs assessments, proposal preparation, pipeline management in HubSpot, and relationship-building to encourage repeat business and referrals. Qualified opportunities generated through marketing efforts may also be handled. The representative will learn American Pest’s services, programs, pricing, and pest-control industry knowledge through company-provided online, field, and classroom training. The position emphasizes prospecting, persistence, customer service, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with decision-makers.
