The Commercial Sales Manager will be the primary architect for expanding our commercial market share within Hawaii. A significant aspect of this role involves managing and developing the Aloha Sales team, acting as a strategic mentor, providing expert training on commercial products and sales techniques, and guiding the creation of high-impact business presentations and proposals.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean traffic abstract required.
  • 5+ years sales management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes a multi-year sales strategy targeting maritime, transportation, retail, and industrial sectors to drive volume growth in bulk fuels, DEF, and lubricants.
  • Leads Aloha’s continued market growth within the Commercial fuel distribution channel.
  • Maintains a mastery of Hawaii’s retail and commercial energy markets, analyzing global and local trends to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Achieves quarterly and annual sales targets across all product lines and monitors P&L performance to ensure margin goals are met.
  • Fosters strong business relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring a high standard of customer centricity.
  • Monitors the competitive landscape, market share data, and business intelligence to ensure Aloha remains the preferred provider.
  • Develops high-impact marketing initiatives in collaboration with marketing support teams and local agencies.
  • Manages and mentors direct reports through open communication, ongoing training, and proactive professional development.
  • Partners with the HR Team to support recruitment, performance management, compensation, and other HR-related activities, ensuring alignment with company policies and culture.
  • Represents the company at leadership meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Ensures all sales activities align with company policy and industry regulations.
  • Works with direct reports and staff to ensure high-quality and timely service and product delivery.
  • Meets with vendors, business partners, and others to develop and implement joint promotional projects.
  • Monitors and studies trade journals, sales journals, market fluctuations, and other materials to stay informed on industry events and trends.
  • Reviews and approves sales personnel’s performance reports, presentations, and proposals.
  • Authors business correspondence, recommendations, and presentations for internal and external partners.
  • Submits high-level proposals, RFPs, and executive summaries.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Entertains customers, prospective customers, and business partners.
  • Prepares written marketing plans for specific market segments and annually for the company.
  • Prepares and conducts presentations and technical seminars.
  • Participates in meetings, trade shows, seminars, fundraisers, and conventions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
