The Commercial Roofing Service Technician investigates, locates, and repairs leaks and defects in commercial roofing systems, including EPDM, PVC, TPO, built-up roofing, and low-slope metal. The technician manages commercial roofing projects from start to finish and is expected to ensure high-quality craftsmanship. The role involves roof-system removal and installation, maintenance, and repairs, along with customer interaction, paperwork, meetings, and helping train crew members as needed. The position is based in Hialeah, Florida, with local travel up to one hour away. Starting pay is $20+ per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
At least 2 years of experience leading commercial roofing crews.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to work at varying heights and in a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to communicate well with clients, supervisors, and coworkers.
Initiative, integrity, and adaptability.
Technology savvy.

Responsibilities

Investigate, locate, and repair leaks and defects in commercial roofing systems.
Manage commercial roofing projects from start to finish and ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
Remove and install roof systems, including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and sloped tile or shingle systems.
Perform roof maintenance and repairs.
Complete work according to job specifications and safety guidelines.
Maintain professional interactions with customers.
Complete required paperwork and attend meetings as necessary.
Assist in training crew members as needed.
