About The Position

Local Refrigeration & HVAC is a technician-owned commercial service company specializing in Commercial Refrigeration, Supermarket Refrigeration, Commercial HVAC, Restaurant Equipment, Facility Maintenance, and Emergency Response. We are looking for experienced technicians who can take a work order from start to finish—diagnosing problems, communicating with customers, ordering parts, creating quotes, and completing repairs with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate takes ownership, solves problems, communicates well, and understands that customer relationships matter just as much as technical ability. This is not an apprentice position; we are primarily seeking experienced commercial refrigeration, supermarket refrigeration, restaurant equipment, and commercial HVAC technicians capable of working independently.

Requirements

• Experienced technicians capable of working independently
• Experience with Rack Systems, CO₂ Systems, Glycol Systems, Chillers, Cooling Towers, EMS Controls, Walk-In Freezers, Cold Storage Facilities
• Experience with Walk-Ins, Reach-Ins, Ice Machines, Prep Tables, Blast Chillers, Cold Wells, Beverage Equipment, Restaurant Refrigeration Systems
• Experience with Fryers, Ovens, Pizza Ovens, Mixers, Dough Equipment, Warmers, Steam Equipment, Exhaust Fans, Kitchen Hoods
• Experience with Package Units, Split Systems, VRF / VRV Systems, AHUs, MAUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Building Controls, Geo Thermal

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment independently
• Complete repairs safely and correctly
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
• Order parts and manage repairs
• Create quotes and repair recommendations
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Complete digital service documentation
• Manage work orders from start to finish
• Work independently with minimal supervision
