About The Position

A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Miami or Fort Lauderdale office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing developers, investors, lenders, private equity funds, REITs, landlords, tenants, and other sophisticated clients in complex commercial real estate transactions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience representing developers, institutional investors, lenders, borrowers, landlords, tenants, private equity sponsors, and REITs
  • Experience handling commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, financing transactions, and joint ventures
  • Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, easements, development agreements, operating agreements, and joint venture agreements
  • Experience reviewing title, survey, zoning, environmental reports, and other real estate due diligence materials
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Florida bar admission required or ability to become admitted

  • Experience with commercial real estate finance, construction, and development transactions is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Representing developers, investors, lenders, private equity funds, REITs, landlords, tenants, and other sophisticated clients in complex commercial real estate transactions.
  • Handling commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, financing transactions, and joint ventures.
  • Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, easements, development agreements, operating agreements, and joint venture agreements.
  • Reviewing title, survey, zoning, environmental reports, and other real estate due diligence materials.
  • Managing sophisticated transactions independently while maintaining significant client interaction.
  • Engaging in client interaction and taking on responsibility.
  • Participating in acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and finance matters.
  • Receiving mentorship and professional development.
