About The Position

A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, lenders, and other sophisticated clients in complex commercial real estate transactions.

Requirements

  • 2–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, lenders, REITs, and other market participants
  • Experience handling commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing transactions, and financings
  • Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, joint venture agreements, and related transaction documentation
  • Experience managing due diligence, title and survey review, and transaction closings
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sophisticated transactions while working directly with clients and deal teams
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with real estate joint ventures, development projects, and complex financing transactions is preferred
  • Experience representing clients in connection with mixed-use, office, industrial, hospitality, multifamily, and other commercial asset classes is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, lenders, and other sophisticated clients in complex commercial real estate transactions.
  • Handling commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing transactions, and financings.
  • Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, joint venture agreements, and related transaction documentation.
  • Managing due diligence, title and survey review, and transaction closings.
  • Working directly with clients and deal teams.
  • Mentorship and professional development.
