Requirements

• 3 years of experience underwriting commercial property insurance risks.

Nice To Haves

• CIP and/or CRM or working towards is preferred.
• Exposure to agribusiness accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and evaluation of risks within the commercial property portfolio.
• Work within defined limits of authority, consistently provide high quality underwriting decisions that support the achievement of Heartland financial targets in accordance with the Operational Plan.
• Review and transact renewals, endorsements, and cancellations within our commercial property portfolio
• Provide support to Senior Commercial Underwriters as needed in order to achieve service standards.
• Negotiate policy terms with brokers/agents.
• Proactively manage business development opportunities.
• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
