About The Position

Mill is a waste prevention technology company that transforms food scraps into valuable resources. We are launching Mill Commercial, an end-to-end solution for managing, understanding, and preventing food waste in commercial environments. This role serves as the tactical execution lead for Mill’s commercial launch and expansion, transitioning the business from initial pilots to full-scale enterprise operations. It is a fast-paced operational orchestration role for an exceptional, detail-oriented leader.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of program management, field operations, or hardware launch experience.
  • At least 2 years specifically dedicated to B2B, commercial infrastructure, or enterprise hardware environments.
  • Technical literacy; comfortable with hardware specifications, electrical/space constraints, facility architectural diagrams, and network connectivity profiles.
  • Willingness to travel nationally up to 50% during peak deployment and validation cycles.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven track record of shipping or deploying physical hardware products.
  • Backgrounds in enterprise IoT, commercial charging/energy infrastructure, commercial appliances, or industrial supply chain hardware deployments.
  • Tactical, "measure twice, cut once" operational philosophy.
  • Comfort interfacing with many people daily and dealing with logistics, general contractors, loading docks, and facilities managers.
  • Ability to translate technical constraints to corporate leaders and floor managers.
  • Experience optimizing workflows through applying AI.
  • Experience operating within health, safety, food-handling, or building compliance frameworks (OSHA, NSF, UL, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, iterate, and support the "Mill Commercial Site Readiness Checklist" and launch playbooks for various commercial configurations.
  • Build and maintain the integrated master launch schedule, coordinating across Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Field Operations, and Partner Success teams.
  • Lead daily/weekly cross-functional syncs to mitigate risks and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring deployment schedules are met.
  • Manage third-party vendors involved in deployments.
  • Serve as the escalation lead for field issues during active deployments, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are maintained.
  • Audit vendor performance to ensure adherence to Mill's standards and requirements.
  • Partner with the commercial account team to create simplified standard operating procedures (SOPs) for grocery kitchen staff.
  • Co-develop and deploy training curricula, localized documentation, and train-the-trainer frameworks.
