About The Position

The Commercial Lines Producer is responsible for driving new business growth, developing strategic relationships, and serving as a trusted insurance advisor to clients within TCP's target industries, including entertainment, media, production, rental houses, creative professionals, and commercial businesses. The Producer works closely with Account Managers, Processing, and Carrier Partners to deliver tailored insurance solutions while maintaining a high level of client service and retention. Responsibilities include prospecting, lead generation, underwriting review, account strategy, coverage recommendations, and revenue growth. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty License required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages, underwriting principles, and risk management concepts to drive marketplace expansion.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of entertainment niche insurance sales or producer experience preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new commercial insurance opportunities through referrals, networking, industry events, centers of influence, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects and opportunities within EPIC.
  • Conduct client discovery meetings to identify exposures, operational risks, and coverage needs.
  • Present proposals, coverage recommendations, and risk management solutions.
  • Achieve individual production, revenue, and retention goals.
  • Follow up on leads, lost opportunities, and renewal prospects to maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients and become their primary trusted advisor.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews and identify opportunities for cross-selling and coverage enhancements.
  • Assist clients in understanding policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and risk management strategies.
  • Review client operations, websites, productions, contracts, and business activities to evaluate exposures.
  • Collaborate with carrier partners to negotiate competitive terms and pricing.
  • Provide underwriting guidance and strategic direction on complex risks.
  • Gather and review applications, loss information, financials, and supporting documentation required for placement.
  • Recommend solutions for complex or unique insurance exposures.
  • Partner closely with Account Managers and Processing teams to ensure seamless client service.
  • Provide strategic directions on renewals, new business submissions, and marketing efforts.
  • Assist in training and mentoring team members regarding coverage knowledge and industry trends.
  • Support agency initiatives, carrier relationships, and operational improvement efforts.
  • Represent TCP at industry functions, trade shows, networking events, and association meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging exposures, and carrier market conditions.
  • Promote TCP's specialized expertise within the entertainment and commercial insurance marketplace.
