About The Position

Ace Service Company is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems, ice machines, and HVAC units. The role serves customers in the Needham, Massachusetts area and includes responding to emergency calls, performing preventive maintenance, and providing professional customer service. Technicians rotate through after-hours and weekend on-call shifts. Compensation is $26.00–$55.00+ per hour based on experience, with overtime, a company vehicle, a cell phone, and a sign-on bonus of up to $12,000 for experienced technicians.

Ace Service Company has provided commercial cooking, refrigeration, HVAC, ware-washing, and ice machine repair and maintenance since 1947. The company serves Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire, with factory-trained and CFESA-certified technicians and 24-hour service, seven days a week, year-round.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and organized work ethic.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
• Driving record must meet the company's safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems and ice machines.
• Respond to emergency service calls and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service.
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, managers, and sales staff.
• Rotate through after-hours and weekend on-call shifts.
• Identify new business opportunities while servicing existing accounts.
• Maintain the service vehicle and manage parts orders.
• Complete required paperwork and attend ongoing training.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
