About The Position

Ace Service Company is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including ice machines, walk-in coolers, freezers, and HVAC units. The role serves customers in Needham, Massachusetts, and includes emergency service calls, routine preventive maintenance, and participation in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations. Technicians provide professional customer service, communicate with customers and internal teams, maintain their service vehicles, order parts, complete paperwork, and attend ongoing training. The position offers hourly pay of $26.00–$55.00+ based on experience, overtime, a company vehicle and cell phone, and a sign-on bonus of up to $12,000 for experienced technicians.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and organized work ethic.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
• Driving record must meet the company’s safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems and ice machines.
• Respond to emergency service calls and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers.
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, managers, and sales staff.
• Participate in rotating after-hours and weekend on-call shifts.
• Identify potential new business opportunities while servicing existing accounts.
• Maintain the service vehicle and manage parts orders.
• Complete required paperwork and attend ongoing training.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
