About The Position

DWC Mechanical is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Install Project Manager to join its Construction team in Amherst, New York. The role oversees multiple commercial HVAC installation projects from planning and kickoff through completion and closeout, ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality and customer-satisfaction standards. The Project Manager coordinates field teams, subcontractors, equipment, materials, schedules, and project documentation; tracks job costs and progress; communicates with leadership and project partners; resolves issues; and supports safety and continuous improvement. The position includes jobsite visits and requires the ability to navigate active construction sites and lift up to 100 pounds when necessary. DWC Mechanical serves commercial and industrial customers across Western New York and the Tampa, Florida region and is part of the NexCore family of companies.

Requirements

At least 3 years of commercial HVAC project management, field supervision, or installation management experience.
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and installation practices.
Experience managing project schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
Knowledge of job costing, project budgeting, and construction documentation.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
OSHA 30 Certification, or ability to obtain it if required.
Ability to safely navigate active construction job sites and lift up to 100 pounds when necessary.

Experience with commercial mechanical contractors.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff through project closeout.
Coordinate project schedules, manpower, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to maintain project timelines.
Order materials, equipment, and project components at least four days in advance to support field operations.
Monitor project progress daily and maintain accurate job schedules and production updates.
Prepare and maintain daily project reports, documentation, and job cost tracking.
Communicate project updates, field conditions, change orders, and scheduling adjustments to leadership.
Collaborate with field supervisors, technicians, vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
Identify and resolve project issues proactively while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Ensure projects comply with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA requirements.
Conduct jobsite visits to monitor quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence across the construction team.
