About The Position
As a CBRE Government and Defense Commercial Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties and ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas. Duties include mopping, sweeping, and disposing of trash, as well as cleaning and restocking building spaces. The role follows standardized company cleaning processes, established work routines, and procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment. The position requires attending regular staff meetings and required in-service training. It involves occasional exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals, and physically demanding tasks such as stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The minimum pay rate is $17.00. The position may be eligible for competitive benefits, including medical, well-being, financial planning, and short-term incentive benefits. CBRE maintains a drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment substance abuse testing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 2 years of job-related experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow established work routines and procedures.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Reliability and dependability, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic building areas.
- Restock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and soap.
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Keep cleaning supplies in a safe and secure area.
- Complete the standardized cleaning process according to company standards.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
- Follow basic work routines and standards.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, with limited discretion.
