About The Position

The Collision Estimator examines vehicles for collision-related damage and documents the time and effort required to repair and refinish vehicles to their pre-accident condition in accordance with Chilton Auto Body standards and insurance partner guidelines. The role works with customers, technicians, insurance partners, and the location manager throughout the repair process. Additional internal and business-partner-supported training may be required.

Requirements

Two years of prior experience in the auto body collision repair industry.
CCC One experience.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team to meet shared objectives.
Effective time-management skills.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates, customers, and business partners.
Valid driver's license.
Eligibility to work in the United States.
Willingness and ability to pass a thorough background check.
Ability to work an eight-hour shift between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers by phone or in person and explain the collision repair process, including insurance claims, processing, and payment procedures.
Educate customers about the importance of CSI survey questions and maintain communication to support positive CSI results.
Complete vehicle intake by mapping damage, photographing vehicles, and documenting files.
Review vehicle damage and prepare estimates and supplements, including for additional damage and parts price increases.
Pull and review All data/OE procedures for body technicians as needed or required.
Understand and follow insurance carrier Direct Repair Program (DRP) guidelines throughout the repair.
Support the location manager with repair routing, paperwork distribution, scheduling, repair monitoring, repair-time negotiations, sublet-work coordination, and other repair-management tasks.
Ensure Chilton Auto Body quality standards are met throughout repairs and before vehicles are delivered to customers.
Maintain accurate, real-time work files and reconcile them for customer delivery and file closure.
Complete assigned training through Collision University and additional internal or business-partner-supported training as needed.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
