The Cook is an essential member of the production kitchen, responsible for preparing and serving food according to the daily menu and recipe standards. Requirements
- At least 1 year of line cook or culinary experience.
- Be flexible and team-oriented.
- Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and level-headedness.
- Be punctual and adhere to the time and attendance policy.
- Be able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Have an interest in and commitment to Genuine Foods’ mission to use food to enhance students’ minds, bodies, and happiness.
- Be able to work in a school environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow food safety standards at all times.
- Cook and prepare food accurately according to recipes and specifications provided by the Chef or Genuine Foods.
- Coordinate with team members so food is prepared on time for service.
- Maintain a clean working environment and assist with additional cleaning duties.
- Keep the work area stocked and organized.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
